Chaplaincy is a critical area of American society where the religious needs of Muslims must be addressed on parity of other faith groups. As chaplains, Muslims have the opportunity to contribute to the public discourse on ethical and spiritual concerns and challenges facing diverse populations. The Muslim Chaplains Association web site is a resource for Muslim chaplains, for chaplains of all faiths who address the needs of Muslims in their institutions and for everyone interested in learning about Muslim Chaplains.
History

The vision for an organization for Muslim chaplains was first imagined in the summer of 2006. Chaplain Bilal Ansari, then chaplaincy student at Hartford Seminary, invited fellow Hartford Seminary chaplains to meet with him.
